As you can see the weather has deteriorated. However, the current radar shows that there may be a window of several hours with minimal rainfall. Wilmington Country Club is here to accommodate you on the course if you would still like to play.
Lunch will be served in the Dining Room beginning at 11:30 am until 12:45 p.m. After that, WCC has graciously offered to open the Pub at 1:00 p.m. Rich Lerner, Host of the Golf Chanel, will be joining us in the Pub for the afternoon telling stories. Cocktails will begin at 5:00 p.m. with dinner, auction, and guest speaker to follow. We hope you will join us for the afternoon/evening portion of the event even if you choose not to tee it up.
If you are not planning to attend cocktails/dinner please let us know at your earliest convenience.
Thank you for your commitment in supporting the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware.

We’ve been fortunate to have great weather for the majority of our annual Ronald McDonald House golf events over the past 33 years. Unfortunately, the weather for tomorrow’s 34th event at Wilmington Country Club is expected to bring some rain, wind and cooler temperatures. We’ve discussed postponing the event with Wilmington CC in hopes of landing on a day with better weather, but there truly were no viable options unfortunately.
Tomorrow’s event will go on. However, we will be DELAYING the start by 1 hour. Therefore, registration will begin at 11am, lunch from 11:30-12:45, and shotgun start at 1pm. We will be sounding the horn at 530pm and the tournament will be scored based on the number of holes completed by all groups. Based on the format we should be able to finish 18 holes. We would like to encourage everyone to keep up the pace of play so that we can all get to the evening portion of the event. Cocktails will be moved inside so that everyone will be comfortable. This year we’ve added an espresso martini bar as well as a scotch/beer tasting following golf. We’re also very much looking forward to hearing from our special guest, Rich Lerner, Host of the Golf Channel.
We recognize tomorrow’s weather is not ideal. Fortunately, we have the use of carts and a course that is of PGA TOUR condition. We hope you choose to play golf tomorrow and most certainly join us for the cocktail/dinner reception afterwards.
Dress warmly, bring your rain gear and let’s make the best of it!
